Villeroy & Sumo (& Boch)
This year I’ve been asked by the president of the Horesca, Mr. Alain Hostert to work with them on this year's competition and brighten up the 14th edition of their Culinary World Cup taking place at Expogast 2022. The idea was to capture a good meal in a picture. So I took a paper out of my pocket and drew a character making the famous gesture with his two fingers that shows that you have eaten well. Alain Hostert quickly proposed this illustration to Villeroy & Boch, who had it printed on plates and mugs.
The plates will given to the first three winners of each competition. Every participant of the Culinary World Cup will get one of the mugs I designed. They won’t be on sale unfortunately but hey Villeroy & Boch, show me your porcelain :)
