Celebrating Art for a Cause: My Experience at the Waves for Change Gala

Last week was a defining moment in my artistic journey, and I’m excited to share my experience from the Waves for Change charity gala in Atlanta. It was an incredible honor to represent Luxembourg alongside the esteemed artist Barthelemy Toguo from Cameroon. The event, hosted by What Water and Unspoken Angels, was a powerful gathering of 180 passionate individuals from the worlds of sports, entertainment, and business—all united for a crucial cause: access to clean water in Africa.

The evening was brilliantly emceed by Ludacris, whose presence added an electrifying energy to the event. I was overjoyed to see my artwork auctioned for nearly 70% above its estimated price, with Ludacris himself as the highest bidder. It was surreal to witness my work resonate so deeply with attendees, and I couldn’t be prouder of the outcome. Together, we raised an astounding $300,000 to support water infrastructure projects in Cameroon and Gabon, a contribution that will directly improve thousands of lives.

I am truly honored to have been part of the Waves for Change Gala, co-organized by @whatwater.art and @unspokenangels. This event exemplified the impact that dedicated individuals and organizations can have when they come together for a common goal.
